Stand Alone Refrigerant Leak Detectors for refrigerants
Under current legislation and best-practice guidelines, leak detectors should be fitted where there is a quantity of refrigerant above certain levels. Whether for toxic and ozone depleting HCFCs, toxic and global warming HFCs or flammable hydrocarbons (HCs), these leak detectors will ensure that in the unlikely event of a serious leak there will be a warning to the people around and the system will be shut down.

		• hand held units for use by service engineers.

Fixed units can be used to ensure compliance with safety codes such as the ACRIB guidelines for flammable refrigerants where the room volume is less than the recommended minimum on our product specification pages. These have been specially calibrated to alarm at 3000ppm and can be fitted either with an audible alarm or to switch a relay, which can be wired into a BMS, another alarm system or the safety switch of the air conditioning appliance itself. The units are powered by a 12 volt DC supply via a 230 volt mains adaptor, which is included with the unit.
